How to Repair a Window Screen Quickly and Easily

Repairing a torn or loose window screen is easier than you might think! First, remove the damaged screen from the frame. Carefully pull out the old spline (the rubber cord) using a flathead screwdriver.

Cut a piece of new screen mesh slightly larger than the frame. Lay the mesh flat over the frame and press a new spline into the groove using a spline roller. Trim the excess mesh for a clean finish.

If you’re not comfortable tackling screen repairs yourself, our Houston-based team specializes in fast, affordable window screen restoration.
